David Iery Classic still on for Saturday

Mason County softball coach Brian Littleton has announced that the David Iery Classic is still on for Saturday at the Tom Browning Boys and Girls Club.

Game times have been revised. Here is the schedule:

2 p.m. Mason County vs. Lewis County

4 p.m. Fleming County vs. Pendleton County

6 p.m. losers of first two games play

8 p.m. winners of first two games play

Mason County's baseball game at Ryle cancelled tonight, game at Lawrence County added on Saturday

Tonight's Mason County at Ryle baseball game is cancelled. The Royals have added a game at Lawrence County on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

11th Annual Chris Lofton and Darius Miller Skills Camp June 10-12

The 11th Annual Chris Lofton and Darius Miller Skills Camp will be held June 10-12 at The Fieldhouse.

The camp, presented by Camp One, is for girls and boys in grades 2-8 in the 2024-25 school year.

The hours are 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on June 10-11 and 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on June 12.

The fee is $75 and includes lunch. Financial assistance is available.

Braeden Myrick makes a school-record 11 3-pointers

Mason County freshman Braeden Myrick made a school-record 11 3-pointers in the Mason County's Royals' 93-72 win over the Fleming County Panthers on February 16. 

Myrick broke the previous school record of 10 treys which was set by Braylon Hamilton during the 2022-23 season.

Terrell Henry is 6th on the Royals' all-time scoring list

 

Terrell Henry (class of 2023) is 6th on the Royals' all-time scoring list with 1,871 career points. He scored a career-high 44 points vs. Scott his junior season. Henry had 712 career rebounds. He was the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches 10th Region Co-Player the Year in 2023 and was a finalist for Mr. Basketball. Henry played for the Kentucky All-Stars in the 30th Annual BSN Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Game.

Royals win 2023 2A state championship

The Mason County Royals are the 2023 2A state champions. The Royals edged the Lexington Catholic Knights 40-39 in the championship game of the Kentucky 2A Championships at the Owensboro Sportscenter on Sunday afternoon.
