Dustin Grutza (class of 2004) is 16th on the Royals' all-time scoring list with 1,285 career points. He was the point guard on 2003 state championsship team and the 2004 state runner-up team. He scored a career-high 28 points vs. Clark County in the 2003 River City Classic. He was named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2003 and 2004 state tournaments. Grutza, a three-year starter at quarterback, holds Mason County records for passing yards in a season, career passing yards, touchdown passes in a season, career touchdown passes, total offense in a season and career total offense. He was the quarterback for the 2004 Kentucky All-Star Team. Grutza passed for 4,476 yards and 29 touchdowns in four seasons at the University of Cincinnati.(Updated April 8, 2018)
