On this date in Mason County Royals basketball history

1966: Tommy Corde scores 20 points to the lead the Royals to an 81-53 win over Fleming County in the district championship game;
1969: Ronnie Lyons scores 46 points in a 72-66 win over Maysville in the district semifinals becoming the first Royal to score 40 points in a game;
1980: The Royals beat Maysville in the semifinals of the district tournament for the program’s 400th win;
1981: Kelly Middleton scores 23 points and the Royals beat Maysville 70-67 in the district semifinals;
1994: Shawn Myrick scores 27 points in a 113-74 victory over St. Patrick in the district championship game;
2008: 14 Royals scored in a 101-54 win over Deming in the first round of the regional tournament. Darius Miller led the way with 22 points.
