On this date in Mason County Royals basketball history

1961: In their first 10th Region Tournament game, the Royals lose to Bracken County 62-58 ending Mason County’s first season;
1962: The Royals beat Paris 79-58 for their first win in 10th Region Tournament win;
1969: Ronnie Lyons scores 22 points in a 79-59 win over Lewis County in the district finals;
1975: Greg Murphy's 25 points lead the Royals past Fleming County 58-51 for the district championship;
1980: Charlie Jackson scores 24 points to lead Mason County to an 88-81 win over Fleming County in the district championship game;
2002: The Royals edge Bourbon County 79-76 in the semifinals of the regional tournament. Chris Lofton leads the way with 21 points.
