On this date in Mason County Royals basketball history

1968: Mason County defeats Harrison County 91-71 for the 10th straight win to open the season.
1974: The Royals snap a five-game losing streak by edging Middlesboro. It’s the program’s 300th win.

1979: Charlie Jackson scores 24 points to lead the Royals to a 74-71 win over Harrison County.
1985: Mason County upsets Romulus, Michigan 70-64 in the Thorobred Classic at Rupp Arena. Deron Feldhaus had a team-high 25 points. Terry Mills, who went on to play for Michigan and in the NBA, scored a game-high 29 points.
